Yay its the weekend!

Howdy there Bloggettes!

Thanks to those of you who asked my girl Harry. She's getting better and she hasn't been sick anymore. I think I'm turning into a paranoid parrot Mummy though. I think she's getting fed up of me watching her. Its the equivalent of asking 'how do you feel? Are you OK?' Oh I ask her that too.... ~blushes~

But hey get me blogging twice in a week! ;)) Where have I suddenly acquired the time from? I wish I knew because then I'd order a whole lot more of it. I mean think of all the things we could do if only we could have a bit more time... Mind you I'd be a whole lot better if I were just a tad more organised. I definitely was when I went to what the OM calls 'proper work'! Cheeky sod. Speaking of the OM - or the cack handed one as he's known. He's just appeared with a sheepish look on his face. He's dropped half of his razor down the plughole! Just the bits that actually make his razor shave... oh he's had the razor about a month. No worries he says I'll take the trap off the sink... Not likely! I remember the last time he did. Fortunately our neighbours
son who's a plumber was home. Now he's moved! I've suggested he grows a beard until the plumber comes!

So my little show for you today is my card for the current challenge over at Totally Gorjuss This week the challenge is Christmas in August. The idea being to help me er sorry you to get ahead with your Christmas cards. I've done a lot of my selling ones already. Its when it comes to my own that the panic sets in! I usually just manage to get the glue dry before they go in an envelope.

This is yet another cute Lili of the Valley image. I think its so sweet! They are so lovely to colour too. Copic'd of course. Some of my old papers from last year, flowers, snowflakes etc. Oh the roses have a swipe of Stickles on them. I was going to shimmer mist them except it didn't want to spray!

Pop over to Gorjuss - there's stamps up for grabs for this weeks winner.

WOYWDW or What's on my work desk actually ;))

Howdy Bloggettes! Those darn aliens have been here again! I mean who would believe it... ~whistles nonchalantly ~

Well its been mega busy as ever at Caique-Momma Towers. What with masses of baking but the most important news is that Her Highness Harry has been ill! Again! So we had a long trip to the vet last week - an hour and a half away! Why can't there be an Avian vet near us??? I hope any vets reading this will take note ;)) Then yesterday we had to take her back to the vets to be admitted for tests. My poor little chickster! In the vets without her pal Tinker and all on her lonesome.... Still the vet rang this morning and she's singing, shouting, talking and being busy charming all the staff. Oh there's a yelling competition going on with another parrot in there too. So a bit of love for Harry would be much appreciated peeps.

Here's the little chickster having a little snackarooney.

Now after our trip last week we called in a rather nice tea room at Gate Helmsley called The Balloon Tree, Harry of course came in as no way was I leaving her in the car! The staff were lovely and said it was no problem. Harry charmed them all and enjoyed a bit of toasted teacake and jam. As we came out a couple of 'full figured' ladies were bending over some plants.... Harry let out the LOUDEST BIGGEST wolf whistle she could! Said ladies stood up glowered and were just about to say something to the OM.... when I said 'sorry about that its Harry' ;)) Said ladies came over to say hello! Their faces were an absolute picture when they thought it was the OM whistling at them! I'm not altogether sure if they were disappointed or not.

Right! As I'm sure you all know that today is WOYWDW over at Julia's, so prepare for a shot of THE desk. Now I can assure you that there is one underneath all that cra... er stuff. I mean otherwise it would all be on the floor. That would be no good as believe me the floor is full too! You think I'm kidding? Well one day I might be brave and photo the floor and really shock you! Its a good job I'm tall so I can step over stuff ;))

So TAAAA-DARRRR if that's the right way to introduce such a tip.... maybe not but hey it proves its used and I mean how could I stage that! It would take me months lol Well it took me months to get it like that just by piling stuff up... So think how it would take me to do it and make it look so... so.... er.... so...er...er... natural!

As you can see there's a bit of... er stuff on there.

Oh and the card on there is for this weeks challenge over at Totally Gorjuss which wants a star on your work. I used them as a border and had to use a Lili of the Valley cutie. Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts natch ;)) Papers are from one of the new Dovecraft Christmas pads. The sentiment is from a QVC set from yonks ago. I must have had it several years and it had never been pulled off its plastic backing... ~blushes~ I mean I bet no one else has ever done that have they? Image has been Copic'd.

Oh a little arty angle shot!

So hop over to Totally Gorjuss - there's a prize on offer for the player who is lucky enough to be picked. Which is a £10 spend at Crafters Companion - well worth having.

But the actual real best bit about this post is that today is not actually Wednesday! Its bloody TUESDAY! I blame this on a weekend of worry over me little chickster and that today I would normally play golf and I haven't, I had to have the heating on last night and its puddled my brain... Oh and in case anyone's wondering I'm a natural blonde!

No more aliens!

Howdy Bloggettes - no more aliens! Well not this week anyway. No paranormal activity here at all. I've been trying to see the meteors they promised. The clouds and rain put paid to that for sure! So not one snifter of them here.

So here's my card for our latest challenge over at Totally Gorjuss This week the theme is aqua - appropriate for all the water we've had ;)) We've had some very heavy showers today. I think if I'd been out I'd have been drenched in 30 seconds! It came down like an April shower. This week we're sponsored by Lili of the Valley so you need to come and play ;))

Isn't this little snowman the sweetest little guy?

Now for the Harry fans, I know I've neglected you! Here's our favourite girl helping herself to what was left of my cereal

Do you think she enjoyed it?

OH MY!

Oh wow Bloggettes what high drama there's been here!

I was only abducted by Aliens.... AGAIN!!! I mean how unlucky am I eh? Abducted twice.... I do have to say though that the trip round Saturn and the outer moons of Pluto was actually quite interesting. Its true you can see the Great Wall of China but not you've made a sharp right as you go past the moon. After that it just goes blurry. Aliens aren't little green men either. they're quite tall and a pinky colour with orange ears.... Hmmm is that a hint of disbelief from the back? Erm.... how about I've been baking for England then? Well not England exactly but just heaps of cakes and tons for Bakewell Show - hey they all sold too! Yup its just been wall to wall cakes here folks and and a spot of golf fitted round it too. I've been a teensy weensy bit busy. To top it all my Mojo cleared off too.

Anyway now the baking's eased off a touch Mojo has reappeared!

This card is for our current challenge over at Totally Gorjuss which is a simple sketch, heck I drew it and I only do simple!

I used one of the new digis available at Whoopsi-Daisy a bargain at £1.99 for 4, yes 4! Anyway this little sweetie has been Copic'd and the edge of her coat and hat trimmed with Picket fence Distress Stickles. This is a subtle shimmer and not as sparkly as the other Stickles. I'm a bit on the picket fence about whether I like it or not....;)) I know I'm not keen on the Rock Candy one - it doesn't appear to do anything! Neither sparkles nor shimmers to my mind. Anyway the papers are some old Basic Grey, the Dasher (spotty) is still one of my favourites.

Oh the arty close up! I've used the Stickles on the edge of the Wild Orchid Crafts flowers too. The punch is by X Cut

Do you like the nice shadow effect on her too? I'm not sure whether its my head or my hands!

Anyway have fun Bloggettes and if you see that St Swithin chap make sure he scarpers quick sticks - I'm sick of the rain! bring back the sun!

Hopefully I'll not be abducted again....
