Merry Christmas!

Ho ho ho Bloggettes!

I thought I'd pop along and wish you all a happy Christmas and share a few photos with you.

Firstly we have the lovely Harry. She's got a new toy here and is just giving it the once over! When she's finished all that piece of wood was gone!

I've finally got the tree up! Honestly I like it when its up - however I couldn't stand having it up for ages before Christmas! On the top we have two little crystal birdies! Aw! sweet huh? Over the Christmas period we also have two other little birdies on the tree too!

The whole tree, we had to get a slimmer one when we got the big couches!

Ooo look presents under the tree! I know that none of them are mine!

The here is the card I made for my OM - I HAD to use this sweet little Tilda with her mistletoe. And I cut into three, yes THREE sheets of my Magnolia papers! Good job I was sitting down else I might have fainted. I had to take a deep breath before I did it. Tilda has been coloured with Copics, the sentiment I printed off on the computer.

Finally especially for Kath! A little video of Harry and her new toy. Do you think she likes it?

Oh near the end you can hear a little whistle. (That's Tinker she was in the kitchen with her Daddy! (My OM). Unfortunately at the minute she still wants to eat me!) She was wanting to know where Harry was and what was happening!

White out!

Oh no!!! More darn snow! Yup we have more of the horrid cold white stuff! At the moment its like this outside! Eeeps!

Now can you guess who is on taxi duties later on today? Oh yes that'll be me then! Its also the Big L's works Christmas 'do' as well.... If this keeps on he definitely won't be able to go. So fingers crossed it stops and thaws! Did I mention I HATE SNOW?

Anyway enough of snow - yesterday was the OM's birthday. So as a break I got to make something other than Christmas cards. So after rifling through my stamps - I mean I've only got one or two..... I decided this little Henry Mouse would be perfect for his card. A few papers from the Basic Grey Boxer collection (love these for men's' and boy's cards) and voila! C'est fini! Oh I had to add a few flowers from Orchid Crafts, it was too plain without!

The sentiments or words really are from a set of Autumn Leaves stamps. The words are actually in frames so I just cut out the words and gave them a swish of Copics and then then another swish of Copic glitter pen. Naturally this doesn't really show up on my 'super' photography!

So I hope you all stay safe in this horrid weather - if you have to go and drive do it slowly! No racing.

Softpencil Mandala

Here's this week's piece for Soft Pencil Elizabeth sent me a mandala image. I have a rubber stamp of one of these somewhere. I gave up with it as I couldn't stamp it properly because it was so big. Problem solved with the baby though! I resized it and printed several off. I then coloured with Copics, added a little shimmer and layered it up with foam pads. Now I'm not usually a fan of metallic card but I think the bit of silver just gives it a bit of zing.

On this one you can see the layers. I've done four but you could easily do more. Depends how much you like cutting out I suppose ;)) I think it would also look fab with just the one layer too.

The rest of the DT ladies have done some super stuff too - go and have a nose.

Soft Pencil DT piece

Hi there Bloggettes!

I think we have 'proper' Winter! By that I mean its been icy cold and lots of rimey white frost in a morning. It looks pretty..... but..... its bloomin cold! Still it'll be over eventually!

So anyway that sort of inspired me for this weeks piece for the Soft Pencil DT After I'd coloured this sweet little image with Copics I added some Stickles for a hit of sparkly frost and then added some Twinklets under their feet for crunchy snow. As usual my superb(!) photography shows all this to a 'T'!!! My tongue is firmly in my cheek folks.

I thought this Magnolis sentiment went perfectly with the image too.

A little close up to show the 'snow' they're standing on. Obviously they've been hanging around for ages as they've got frost on their hats!

Till next time folks - pop over to Soft Pencil and have a looksee - there's some super images on there. They are wonderful to colour!

Totally Gorjuss - sketch

Hi there Bloggettes! We've had a lovely sunny day here! How bizarre as we had torrential rain all night! Still better the rain at night than in the daytime I reckon.

So I suddenly realised I hadn't shown you my Gorjuss creation for this week! Where on earth does the time go? I mean I've heard a rumour that it'll be Christmas soon..... I mean as if! Its ages away yet..... isn't it?

Well whenever it is its going to happen whether I'm ready or not. Odds on I'll not be ready till the last minute, unless things change big time cos that's when I'm always ready!

So this week over at Totally Gorjuss we've got a sketch - a nice easy one without too many layers. I don't have a lot of time to do tons of layers right now - if you do please tell me how you do it!

So here's the sketch

And this is what I did with it. The GG has been Copic'd, papers by Bo Bunny, Prima flowers and charm all from The Hobby House

So pop over and have a go - you don't have to have a Gorjuss Girl to enter. Though if you do you get a double entry into the draw! This week the prize is a £10 voucher from Joanna Sheen How good is that?

First piece for Softpencil

Here I am bringing up the rear no doubt! These are the first two things I've made for Softpencil - my new DT (love saying that!)

We received this lovely calendar and so I made a calendar!

Inspired by my ginger cat Dudley I coloured this kitty ginger! I then made holes and added ribbon so that I can hang it in my craft room. This is a really simple project to do.

I then printed the calendar again in A5 size. I again coloured it with Copics, mounted it on a contrasting coloured paper and stuck it to the backing sheet. A grungeboard flourish and Prima flowers and roses. A spritz of shimmer spray and it was done.

A closer look at the flowers, its a pity that you can't see the shimmer. It's really pretty.

Thanks for looking.
