Its me and anything goes with pink!

Well howdy doody peeps!

Have you been enjoying a spot of balmy weather the last few days?  Its been lovely!  Nice sun, blue skies and a tiny bit of warmth!  Another 15 degrees and it'll be perfect!

Well the new challenge is on at Totally Gorjuss this week its really easy, like always, its anything goes....with pink!  Well we all know that pink goes with anything!  This week the sponsor is J and C Creations  One lucky person will get £10 for online treats.

So I made this - now I'm not sure but I think the image is by Robyns Fetish.... Basic Grey papers from ages ago and ta daaa!

Then I must have had a rush of blood or something because I also made a bracelet!  Not terribly difficult... but hey I made it!  And its pink!

Oh I nearly forgot the arty shot!  How could I?

So I've been off on a jaunt.   We flew over these.... which are (I think) the Atlas mountains - look at that snow!  It does look pretty and that's how I like to see snow, at a distance and through glass!

And this is where I went!

No its not landfill!  Its the beach near where I stayed in Tenerife.  I have to say that by and large the landscape in the south isn't pretty!  Black sand doesn't entice me onto the beach.... looks a bit like tarmac....

Now this beach is more what I'm used to!  But blow the scenery the weather was fantastic!  it was HOT!  A lovely weeks break in the sun with a good friend.  Yup the OM was left at home....

Now while I was there I saw this lovely necklace... I thought it went really nicely with my blue dress....

However when I took it off I had a blue neck!  I look like I'd been throttled lol  So the necklace went back.  According to the woman who sold it there was nothing wrong with the necklace....

It was me apparently I'm toxic :-0  Something I dare say some people have thought for a number of years.  Not cheap imitation stones like I suggested at all....

Love and news

Grr!!

Mr Blogger is playing games.... so this post may appear or on the other hand it may not.....

We'll have to wait and see, if you hear loud wailing you'll be able to guess which way things have gone!  Fingers crossed and I' begin.....

A new challenge has launched over at Totally Gorjuss  Its getting towards Valentines Day so it seems logical that the challenge should be LOVE, the sponsor this week is the fabulously stocked
Crafters Companion  one lucky person will get £10 to spend online - fab huh?

So here's my little effort.  I 'sort of' tried something different for me.... notice there's no image!  Yikes!!! And and I did some smeary painty ink stuff on the background as that was that kraft resist Tim Holtz paper.  I decided I needed a bit of colour in it.  Oh and yes I had gloves on!

So this card actually came together really quickly, its was cutting, embossing and sticking, oh after the painty inky bit.  Now I know my photography skills are.... well.... pants generally but honestly everything is the same shade of red!

So onto the news part of my title!

Have a look at this little badge - yup that moi!

I'm a member of the paper-crafting section of their DT!

There's a mahoosive selection of ply and MDF shapes and other stuff on there! I'm drooling!  Oh and there's other bits and pieces too - and some corking offers that shouldn't be missed.

So two places to go and look at today!

Its lacey!

Well howdy there - me again!   I know so soon it may be getting to be a habit!  Which actually is the idea....

So happy April to you all!  Hang on what do you mean its February?  Judging by the weather we had the other day sun, cloud, high winds, rain, hail on rotational thing I just assumed it was April... oh and we had a couple of rainbows too.  Bizarre huh?  Oh and then someone told me we have snow in the pipeline again too.... Joy.....

So onto something far far nicer.  A new challenge over at Totally Gorjuss!  This week its (another) nice easy theme - Anything goes with lace.  See I said it was easy.  The can be real or faux (LOVE that word) as in my case....  The sponsor this week is J and C Creations  a lucky person is going to be £10 better off with a voucher for some online treats.  I wanted to enter but the Gorjussettes said no....

So here's my effort.  I had a middle of the night colouring session earlier in the week.  That probably explains her pink hair!  Mind you I'd love pink hair....  Its one of those fabulous Dilly Bean images, I nipped over the other day and had a little 'look'.... with my purse!  I've admired these for ages and that was as far as I got!  Doh me huh?  Then I saw that the fabulous Carley Duff had been playing with them.  So here you are my version!

So I then decided I didn't have any papers that went 'with'.... a quick, well not really but you know what I mean root through my meagre stash of paper ~ nonchalant whistle ~ and I found a sheet of old Basic Grey, I think Scarletts Letter?  and off I went.  A spot of Doo Hickeying and Spellbindering, some flowering, a la WOC and voila!  Oh then I decided on the blingy butterflies... except I'm not sure about the one I actually stuck on the butterfly on her hair....  But as I said its stuck so its staying.

So here's your arty shot -  a mix of 35mm rose, cosmos daisies, sweetheart flowers and small rosebuds with a Cheery Lynn leaf flourish.  I actually applied ink over the butterflies while they were still in the die.  I got flipping ink on me as well!

Bonus another arty shot!  I love how Megan - The Dilly Bean artist draws her eyes - can you imaging having eyes this colour?  I'm also linking this to the current challenge over at Dilly Beans where the theme is 'love gives me wings' well I love butterflies and they have wings ;-))

Now a little pic of Polly!  After much debating Polly decided to have a bath under the tap!  It took her about 20 minutes!  her routine is under the tap, flap, jump in the window, flap, under the tap, flap, on the tap, flap..... which basically means that everyone and everything gets soaked!  Oh and lots of tail shaking which is why she's got a blurry tail!

Afterwards you get your slave to bring you a nice clean towel to rub yourself dry on.  That's because the naughty slave won't let you do it in her hair....

So I hope you're all still awake.... pop over to Totally Gorjuss and come and play.

Look what I've made!

Heck I'm back again!  Oh and we've still got snow... and more forecast apparently too.  Though according to the weather forecast at the weekend its going to be heavy rain!  Fantastic huh?

Anyway while I've been (not) busy sat on my backside doing not much at all I've been thinking about sewing... I've not done any for ages for a couple of reasons - lack of time and when my sewing class did the dirty... well I've not done any.  So I finally got the machine out!

Now I'd had an idea in my head, which is scary because then I'd got to figure out how to get this great idea from my head and make it work!  So after some cutting, sewing and a little bit of fiddling I was done.

Et Voila!

Do you know what it is?  Looks a  bit like a flower...

A different angle?  Any more guesses?

OK I'll unravel it a bit?
Now do you know?

Still not sure?  I hung it up to see if that helps...

Did you guess?  Its a scarfy neck snuggly thing!  It just snuggles round your neck and keeps you toasty warm.  I'm quite pleased as this was my first go!

Now you'll also remember my poorly trotter...
well here's a couple of photos - a bit gory and euwwww!

Yup its as sore as it looks!

Not too swollen today because I've been good and sat down..... boring!  But I have to do as I'm told or I'll ruin the work I've had done.  Its too painful to have it done again!

So stay dry folks and warm, and I promise no more gross you out photos!

Mwah!

Oh my gawd! How much flipping snow are we getting!!!  Currently my garden is covered in about 8 inches of it!  Which centimeters for you metric types is a lot!  I mean its a lot too much for me.

My poor outside birdies are scoffing as much food as we give them.  Poor things :(

So here's my latest card for the challenge at Totally Gorjuss  This week the challenge is KISS which as we all know is Keep It Simple Silly/Stupid....  One of my most (un)favourite themes!  I mean all that unadorned space!!! EEK!  I mean what kind of muppet picked that as a theme.... Oh yes that'll be me then.... you know when you have a brilliant idea to challenge yourself?  Sounds so good when you first type is.... then at some stage you actually have to do something about it!  Then its not a clever idea at all.

So my idea is shamelessly lifted from Marion Emberson I also used her stamps too.  Stamp, swish of glitter, bit of ribbon, bling and done!  pop over and check out the other cards, they're much better than mine!

Now as you know (and if not why not???)  We have a couple of calm, well behaved, placid parrots.... OK they're lunatic nutter parrots!  Now obviously my crafting has rubbed off on them.  Now they've not taken up card making or sewing.  No they've decided on wood carving.  Look what the little buggers have done to one of my doors!

Just to be fair they've done the other side to match too!  This is when they were being watched, in the loosest sense of the word obviously, by the OM.

Here's little Polly.  Now this isn't her cage she's just been for a visit to Tinkers cage to see if there was anything different in there to hers!

You know the bit I said about lunatic? Well Tinker has a bit of a thing for tubes....any tubes... he sticks his head in them and growls! And he'll do it for ages!

So an easy way to keep him occupied!

Have fun in the snow folks!

Hi there reader.... well if anyone is reading that is....  Mind you if not I can rabbit away to myself all day!  Its always a result as of course I always agree with myself!

Now while I was away on my Blogidays, which isn't where you blog everyday its where you don't.... The cause of this is while we were away on holiday my beautiful girl Harry was taken away to Rainbow Bridge.  I was devastated and to be honest it took blogging right out of my system and then the habit kind of went away too.  I think I felt worse (if that's possible) because we were on holiday at the time and kind of felt like I'd abandoned her.  Even though she was as fit as a fiddle seemingly when we went.  I have to say my friend who looks after them is brilliant and it was just one of those things and was connected to her previous illness.  When they say parrots hide illnesses they sure do!  So a couple of photos of my beautiful girl who I miss every day.

Then a couple of months later Jasper's illness worsened and I had to take him to be put to sleep.  A horrible task but necessary.

So blogging went right on the back back burner.

So we were left with Tinker who'd always had a friend.  So decided to get another little girlie to keep 'her' company.   So we got a little girlie to do just that.  So here's Polly.  She weighs a tiny 129 grammes.  Bigger than when we got her by a whole 5 grammes!

And yes she's as cheeky as she looks!  Polly is still a caique but a black headed one.

Oh and we'd had her two days when the vet phoned with more results of Tinkers tests after we lost Harry.  Tinker is a boy!  So we've got a boy and a girl!   Which we had with Harry obviously but we were assured by the man who sold us Tinker that he was a she!  I think the bugger just told us what we wanted to hear.   But they like each other and are in separate cages till she's more grown up.

Polly is a sweetheart and behaves very like Harry - maybe its a hen thing?  Or perhaps just a bit of a Mummy's girl...

Oh she likes doing may hair just like Harry did.  Now if Tinker were to this I'd be screaming - he'd be taking lumps of flesh out!

So that's me back in blogland!

WAHHHHHHH!!!!!

OK I hope no one gets hurt!  I'm not going to get violent or anything!  I just don't want you to hurt yourselves when you faint because I've actually posted something!  I did threaten promise to didn't I?  So I'd better fulfil that part of the bargain!

Now this here (tiny for some reason) specimen is my card for the new challenge at Totally Gorjuss  This week the challenge is 'spots', yes they are there!  You may have to squint to spot them....

Oh and the eagle eyed among you will notice there's none of my usual desk crap behind the card!  No this is kitchen worktop crap instead!  Can't get into the craft tip at the moment due to poorly foot.... I'll bore you with that another time.

I only got up for a drink of water and here I am at the computer....
