Surprise!

Hi there Bloggettes! Well I hope you're there and not blown away in these awful winds! We're quite high up here at Caique-Momma Towers so its quite blustery. High up also means no floods for us. I can remember the Big L asking what would happen if we flooded, well I said the rest of the country would probably be under water then.... Fortunately everything is where it should be. Well apart for the dustbins and the the recycling box!

So a quickie show for you today (oo'er that sounds well dodgy! Matron!) While browsing my luscious Magnolia magazine I saw an advent calendar thingy. Love that word thingy... Well I must have had a rush of blood or something because I decided to make one....

Well after doing three boxes myself.... then I realised how rubbish I am at measuring! All the sleeves were slightly different on the scoring lines! I mean 24 of those would have looked well wonky - lol So I went and bought matchboxes instead and used those. Only thing was then of course it came out smaller! So the Magnolia images I'd coloured for the sides were too bloomin' big! Hence the Penny Black images instead. Then of course the drawer handles I'd picked were too big.... so after a rummage I used tiny brads. I think its recipient the lovely Gez should be able to open the drawers if she uses tweezers and a magnifying glass!

Only kidding they do open and because its for advent there are little goodies in each drawer.

SO NO MORE PEEKING GEZ!!!

Anyway these are a few of my brilliantly wonky photos! Well if they were perfect you'd think you were on the wrong blog wouldn't you?

So there you are folks - I hope you all stay safe and warm.

I've also entered this into the animal challenge over at Simon says Stamp.

Fab day!

Howdy Bloggettes!

Well what a super day its been! Where was all the wind and rain they promised us? I'm sure someone must have had, it just wasn't where I was!

So today I went to the Christmas workshop that the ever so fabby Bev was running at The Hobby House Well I had a fab time! Hi to Lynn and Kath (I keep seeing Kath all over the place - I think she's my personal stalker!) Which must mean I've arrived! Or we have the same taste in things..... Hmm I wonder which it is?

Well back to the important stuff. This is the card we made. Is'nt this image super cute? Coloured with Distress inks and H2O's, a slick of stickles and a sprinkle of Twinklets. I love the sketch, simple but very effective. One to be used over and over.

So that was my day - well part of it. I hope you had as much fun too.

Oh I discovered another thing today - You can eat a roast beef dinner with a teaspoon! Well I can anyway....... and my word was it delicious. Honestly you had to be there!

Totally Gorjuss - Blue Christmas

Hi there Bloggettes! I hope you've better weather than we have! Oh wow its wild, windy and wet! Or in other words horrible! I've just realised that's only one word.... I know you get my drift though. I think the whole weekend is set to be pretty poor. Still I have a treat on Sunday. I'm off to The Hobby House . I'm going to a workshop being done by the fabulous Bev Rochester So I reckon plenty of laughs will be on the cards for Sunday. A teeny tiny spot of shoppping might figure in the equation too! Well a gal's gotta do what a gal's gotta do!

Anyway enough of my ramblings - I don't want to make anyone jealous!

Over at Totally Gorjuss we have a new challenge. This week its 'Blue for Christmas' Now me being me.... ~blushes~ had got the red trim on the card before I reasiled... Well I like the aqua-ish shades with red! That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it, plus the papers were stuck down by then.

I think she looks kinds of cute though. So why not pop over and have a see what you can come up with? You'll also get to see the super cards from the other DT ladies - they are STUNNING!

Oh now a treat! This is a little clip of little Miss Nippy Knickers! The one and only Tinker - hormones are just rearing their heads. How do I know? Easy she bites me every chance she gets! Well the other morning she was helping Daddy in the kitchen. She loves to unload the dishwasher! Harry was just trying to chew the cutlery holder to pieces!

Ps - I was in mid cupboard sortout! ;))

B O R E D!!!

Hi there Bloggettes! Oh boy am I bored! bored bored bored! In fact I'm B O R E D!!! In fact today I was so bored I almost (notice the word almost) watched Jeremy Kyle! Yup that bored, however I managed to pull myself together and changed channels - phew! In fact at the moment I feel I'm becoming something of an aficionado on daytime television. I can sum it up quite well - dire! I think that sums it up quite well.

I've still got my stitches in so am rather restricted to say the least. I get them out on Friday! WHOOO HOOO!

I can do a tiny bit of crafting - it takes ages though and I can't use scissors! Makes it fun when I try and cut things left handed or using a craft knife. I'm pretty lethal with one of those in my right hand! Extra entertaining in my left!

So here are a couple that I did manage to do - the images were previously coloured (thank goodness).

Both are the lovely Anya, papers on both by MME, flowers and trimmy bits from The Hobby House

This one has the same MME papers - from one of their lush Christmas pads. In addition a little net ribbon from Tabby Crafts She has loads of really fabby stuff and sends it out super quick!

Oh and now a real treat! While I was perusing an intense drama the other afternoon (either Murder She Wrote or Colombo) I suddenly thought all was quiet in the 'cage corner'. I snuck a little look expecting to see the babies asleep on their favourite perch or in their cute little bed (they aren't spoilt!) Sometimes Tinker will lay on her back with her tail stuck out ! Oh that's Harry's head, Tinker isn't that much of a contortionist!

Anyway Tinker is laid on her back but she's the other way round. Harry was giving her a tidy up and was preening around her eyes! How sweet is this!
